Hello!

For this album, I tried to take the idea of Vaporwave/Future Funk, with its nostalgia for the 80's, and refocus that nostalgia onto the 90's and 00's.

Nostalgia is a frequent theme in all the music I make, and in this album I wanted to explore that a little more by making sounds that would be nostalgic to my childhood experiences, rather than the Vaporwave obsession with nostalgia for "a time you never experienced". This is probably most evident in "Human After All Of The While", which is (hopefully) very clearly a Daft Punk reference (Human After All is an underrated album!), but I tried to make it present throughout the album, like with the DnB inspired amen break in "Pull Ya Closer", and the groove-centric Deee-Lite inspired "Soul Time". Whether or not I succeeded in this idea, is up to you!

Of course, sometimes I just eschewed this theme and did what I wanted. "Open Your DAW" made me smile every time I listened to it, so in it went. "Everything" was just super fun, and I've always wanted to add a vocoder part to a song how could I not include it!

I hope you find something you enjoy in this album! It was fun to create, and I hope that energy transfers to you, the listener. Listening to and making music is very fun for me, and when I think of music, I think of fun. When you think of my music, I hope that you think of good times, because where else can you find that kind of fun in anything other than music?
