Hello!

While working on this album, it developed an unexpected theme: Dreams. If you were to go back in time and asked 12 year old me what he thought about the amount of music I had made, released, and gained an audience from, he would probably think it impossible that he made it. It has been a dream of mine to make music and have it be listened to, not out of obligation but because people genuinely enjoy the music itself. (That's actually a big reason as to why I don't tend to market my music, or create other things around it, because I really do like the idea of my music speaking for itself!) The dreams that I dreamed up as a 12 year old have been partially fulfilled, but I still have more aspirations, more dreams to dream up, it's hard not to feel disappointment when I can't or couldn't achieve them like I wanted to. But the dreams themselves were never not worth having, for better or worse music has become my life, and all that keeps me going is my dreams.

The album itself can also be thought of as a literal dream, or not. I purposely named the first track "Insomnia" to make it ambiguous. The final tracks serve the same purpose either way, as comedown tracks that are essentially me reflecting on where I go from here. I've had big dreams, hopes, aspirations, that never flourished, and might never flourish, but does that mean I will stop trying? Even if it's obviously hopeless, I just don't think I can. I can't predict the future, maybe my dreams will be accomplished tomorrow morning, or maybe I'll just keep the memories of the journey. Either way, I'll be smiling, at least on the inside.
